Product Overview
Regal Chemicals Filter Cleaner & Degreaser is designed to greatly improve your filter life and efficiency. It's specifically made to cleanse oil, grease, dirt, etc. from your pool and spa filters.
~ Removes dirt, scale, oil, and grease to increase your filter efficiency.
~ Extends your filter life by helping you maintain a clean and healthy filter.
~ Compatible with all filter types.
~ Ideally used in saltwater pools.
Dosage:
~ Use 32 fl. oz in order to create your 5 gallon solution. See instructions below for more details.
Directions: Cartridge Filters and Filters with Removable Elements:
1. Make a solution using 32 fl. oz of this product per 5 gallons of clean water in a large plastic bucket. Make only enough solution to cover the elements. Never use a metal container with this product.
2. Always add this product to water and not water to this product.
3. Remove the filter cartridge or diatomaceous earth elements.
4. Rinse with clean water.
5. Place cartridges or elements into the solution for 10 to 12 hours.
6. Remove cartridges and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
7. Cartridges should be dry before reinserting.
Directions: Sand Filters and Filters without Removable Elements:
1. Make a solution using 32 fl. oz of this product per 5 gallons of clean water in a large plastic bucket. Make only enough solution to cover the elements. Never use a metal container with this product.
2. Backwash your filter.
3. Shut off the pump and drain filter.
4. Remove debris from the lint pot.
5. Leave the handle in the backwash position and pour the cleaning solution into the lint pot while the pump is running.
~ Never permit your pool pump to run dry.
6. Continue adding the solution until the sand or filter elements are completely covered.
7. Shut off the pump and allow the solution to remain in the filter for 10 to 12 hours.
8. Backwash the filter until the water exiting the backwash line is clear.
9. Restart your pump and refill the filter with clean water.
