Poolife TurboShock is a premium, fast-dissolving Calcium Hypochlorite (Cal-Hypo) granular shock with a massive 78% available chlorine content. It destroys organic contaminants, bacteria, and aggressive algae blooms instantly without adding Cyanuric Acid (CYA) to your water, preventing over-stabilization.
78% Available Chlorine
The highest concentration available to consumers, providing immediate heavy-duty oxidation.
No Cyanuric Acid Added
Cal-Hypo does not contain stabilizer, meaning you can shock weekly without throwing off your CYA balance.
Fast Dissolving Formula
Ultra-fine granular texture dissolves rapidly to minimize the risk of bleaching vinyl liners or plaster finishes.
Common Questions & Instructions
What is the proper dosing instruction for TurboShock?
For routine maintenance, broadcast 1 lb (one bag) per 10,000 gallons of pool water directly into the deep end while the pump is running. For extreme algae treatment, dose 2 lbs per 10,000 gallons.
How long do I need to wait to swim after shocking?
Always wait until your free chlorine levels drop strictly below 5.0 ppm (ideally 1-3 ppm). With DFW sunlight, this typically happens within 12 to 24 hours of a nighttime shock.
Is it safe for salt water pools?
Yes. Cal-Hypo is perfectly safe and highly recommended for supplementing the oxidation needs of salt chlorine generators.
