Startup-Tec, is an essential treatment for pool startups, designed to tackle and prevent issues like calcium and metal staining. It's particularly effective in preventing mottling and discoloration on all types of pool surfaces.

Dosage:

~ Please check the dosage chart provided above or on the back of your bottle.

Directions: During Pool Filling: 

1.  For best results, check for fill water low hardness. If the hardness level is less than 150 ppm, add calcium hardness during pool filling prices to prevent surface damage and calcium discoloration.

2. At the 300 to 500 gallon level, disperse "Startup dosage" uniformly throughout the pool basin area.

3. For color marcite finishes, add Startup-Tec dosage at a minimum of 500 gallons - disperse into fill water uniformly.

4. Add water using a water can, PVC pipe, or directly from the bottle uniformly into the basin area. Avoid splashing onto pool surfaces.

5. Continue to fill the pool without stopping the filling process.

Directions: After Pool is Filled:

1. Begin by examining the surfaces of the pool. Gently brush these surfaces to clear away any residual calcium or plaster dust. When cleaning the pool basin area, use a brush-vac to remove calcium deposits, but avoid using a roller-type vacuum.

2. If needed, you might want to consider a light-hot startup process, especially to fully bring out the qualities of exposed quartz or color pigment finishes.

3. During the initial few days after starting up, make a point of lightly brushing all pool surfaces. This helps in removing any lingering calcium or plaster dust, dirt, and loose debris that might be present.

4. It's also crucial to adjust and balance your pool's water chemistry. Aim to achieve the appropriate levels of pH, alkalinity, and hardness. These levels should be tailored to meet local water conditions and requirements.
